As in the above quote by James Allen, “Mind is the Master power that molds and makes. The tool which we have to use in shaping the reality we wish to see manifest is our thoughts.

Even though I refer to this process as Mental Magic it is not magically at all, simply put; its acting in accordance with a few universal laws that all the great teacher before us have always been pointing to. One of these laws is “The Law of Attraction.” Which is the one we will be discussing here.

The Law of Attraction, states that; likes attract likes, that you will attract into your life–whether wanted or unwanted–whatever you give your energy, focus, and attention to.

Living in the information age gives us ready access to varying information. At some point or another you might have read or heard about the Law of Attraction, maybe you have watched the movie The Secret. Maybe a friend might have said to you ” Hey man, you get what you give”.

These are great for inspiration and for creating positive expectations. With just this information put into action, consciously and consistently we can see changes in our lives. It might be sporadic, and you still find yourself wondering if all this Law of Attraction stuff is even working. A beginner might create some minor success, but in order to make real changes and create greater success, more understanding, information and skills are required.

The whole concept of The Law of Attraction is very simply, however to have a more than ordinary knowledge of the laws and operations of thought, more is needed. It is not enough just to feel elated after reading or watching a movie, or to recite a few affirmations occasionally.

These feelings and emotions at this stage are important, they ignite the fuel, they should create a even greater desire towards mastery or simply for greater control. Too often, inspiration and elation wear out after a while, and then you either feel disappointed, forget about what you have read, or if you still desire to take advantage of the law of attraction, you might not know what to do next.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Before achieving any real significant success, you have to commit be become the person on the same vibrational frequency of the thing being attracted.

You have to be clear about what you want to do or achieve, and with continual implementations of practices, the desire gradually or sometimes instantly manifests into your reality. Learning about the law of attraction is just the beginning, the information has to be integrated into your belief through understanding and practice. It becomes necessary then to develop a certain degree of concentration, visualization, perseverance, will power and self-discipline.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”6702″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Ask

You have to be clear on what it is you are seeking. Write it down, read it, reread it, become interested in your desire. Keep it constantly in your thoughts. A good way of putting asking into action is through goal setting. Take a pen and paper, sit down and dream, just let your mind wonder and write down all the things that you have always wanted to do. Do not get concerned with how it will happen just for now jot it down.

Believe

To aid you in the area of belief is where your practices comes in. Belief is simply getting on the same vibrational frequency of your desire. There are a numbers of tools that you can use:

  • Meditation

Meditation is a mental /spiritual practice that relaxes the mind and the body, and helps you experience more inner peace in your life. Meditation releases the stress and the tension from your mind and from your body, and makes you calmer and more focused. It also helps you overcome anxiety and worries, and experience peace and balance.

Meditation calms down your restless thinking, and allows you to have control over your thoughts, feelings and actions. Meditation improves the ability to focus the mind, think more clearly, and understand faster what you learn.

Meditation naturally raises your vibrational frequency, through the process of calming down and connecting with life energy you tap into whats referred to as the field of potentiality.

  • Visualization

Its been said that when you visualize, you actualize. Studies have shown that when we visualize an event with feelings and emotions the same aspects of the brain light up as when we are actually doing the event. So it would seem that the brain is unable to tell the difference between visualizing the event and actually doing the event. Make visualization a daily practice.

  • Affirmation

The power of affirmations is the the ability to consciously reprogram our thinking process. We are all going about with mental programs inherited from our culture, our family, our environment, etc. Affirmation is consciously choosing a sentence or phrase that we wish to impress on our mind and repeating it as often as possible. The secret to affirmation is in the feelings and emotions that you place in your affirmations.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Receive

Believe in the expansion of your own desire, and trust that the universe will give you exactly the vibrational equivalent. Trust that the universe will yield to you never ending unfolding of perfection, if you allow it. …Abraham Hicks

This is actually the fun part of the three step process, and yet the part that trips people up the most. Receiving is about trusting in the law, knowing that what you have asked for, what you have been believing in so persistently is on its way to you. In this process you make room for that which you are expecting. This process is about finding the joy in your desires and feeling good about the unfolding.

The three steps are put in a very simplified form here, for each we could deep dive into it and discover that aspects collide with many of our conditioned responses, judgement and even perceptions. Right now however knowing these steps we can progress along the path.

We must making improving our concentration, focus, persistence and our discipline a priority. I have posts that are dedicated to the development of these areas that you can check out. We can see how important these mental disciplines are, in implementing these tools we foster our control over our thoughts and hence over our life.
